I am looking for a solution (hopefully just one) that can handle two seperate channels on our website. The first would be a public means of displaying classes (multiple seats, multiple times per day) in a calendar or list for people to reserve. The public would pay to reserve…and site members could reserve for free. The second is a means of displaying multiple “lanes” in our shooting range that would allow people to reserve one of multiple lanes if available in hourly blocks. Again, the public would pay to reserve…and site members could reserve for free. Could these be run simultaneously? |
Hi Ryan, How are you? We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso. We don’t currently have functionality to charge users to post events to your site. This could possible be done with a membership plugin like s2member. You could charge the users to sign up for an “Event Manager” account, then allow them to post events once they have created the membership with s2member. Aside from not being able to charge users to post events, Event Espresso should work fine for your needs. With the Roles and Permissions add-on, you can allow users to post events either with our Front-end Event Manager add-on, or through the WordPress dashboard. Let us know if you have anymore questions. |

Thanks for your response! Actually, I think I may have not describe things correctly…but, we would be looking to NOT have user submit their own events…just reserve classes (paid public, free for members) and lanes. Again, just wondering if EventEspresso can handle both events and multiple resource reservation separately on the front end? |

Hi Ryan, Well we can certainly handle events! The plugin can handle the public paying and the site members having the registration for free. The lane reservation *might* be possible but the plugin isn’t geared towards that type of situation so it may well be a little bit ungainly and have to be micro managed to get working. In essence you could create an event for a day with X number of time slots. We have a feature (it is still experimental so doesnt work with some aspects of the plugin such as Multiple Event Registration) where you can limit the number of ticket purchases for that time slot. In theory this could be used to achieve what you are after. |
