Sorry one more question. I am building the site on my laptop with a Bitnami stack of Apache2, etc. Then I will upload onto host server when I go live with it. Is this a problem?

Hi Kevin,
Event Espresso is a plugin for WordPress. You can develop locally and then migrate your local site to your live site on a web host:

Be sure that the entire WordPress database is migrated as Event Espresso stores some information in native WordPress DB tables and the remaining information in its own DB tables.
Apache or Nginx servers will work with Event Espresso. Windows based servers are not supported.
