hello,

i recently uninstalled and then reinstalled EE4 to a site and am now receiving the “A potential issue has been detected with one or more of your Event Espresso pages. Go to Event Espresso Critical Pages Settings to view your Event Espresso pages.” alert.

in addition to this, the Set up Payment Methods and Create First Event link text are both struckthrough on the About page. i wouldn’t be surprised if i made an error in clearing out my previous install. any help will be greatly appreciated. thank you!

Hi Jordan,

EE4 includes functionality to remove all of the Event Espresso data before a reinstall.

We recommend creating a database backup beforehand, just to be safe.

You can then do this by going to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> Reset/Delete Data

Then click the ‘Permanently Delete All Event Espresso Data’ button.

This will remove ALL EE data and de-activate EE (it will be as if EE had not been activated on that site)

If you currently have no registrations you need, I would recommend doing the above, however if you do have registrations can you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical Pages, then check each of the pages shown on that screen exist within your site.

the Set up Payment Methods and Create First Event link text are both struckthrough on the About page.

They are steps you need to take to setup EE. So if they are struck through that would mean you have created an event and have at least one Payment Method setup (Is Invoice enabled for example?)

well, spoke too soon. still getting the critical pages error. all pages in that list are showing Status and Shortcode OK, however. i did notice that when i delete all data and uninstall the plugin, the pages remain. is that the source of the problem, maybe? should i just dismiss the error? if you need to log in to check things out i can provide admin creds. thanks!

Hi, the pages with the shortcodes are created on an initial activation of Event Espresso.

They are not removed automatically since they are WordPress pages that you may have added your own content to. You can dismiss the notice via your WP dashboard.
