We have been having a terrible time with people trying to register for an event after updating to EE4.
I just purchased a priority support token and was about to request help as I’m flat out with other projects at the moment, but thought I better go through the process of disabling plugins etc.
Registrants were getting the error “This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again” after entering their details and clicking Proceed to payment options.
Disabling the WordPress HTTPS seems to have fixed it on one of my test browsers. Even though the only option I had configured is to force SSL for admin pages.
I’ve added the force SSL directive to the wp-config instead
WordPress Version: 3.9.1
PHP Version: 5.4.29
MySQL Version: 5.5.37
Event Espresso Version:4.2.7.p
Webhost: Lightning Base
That’s what I thought too Dean but I had tried completely disabling caching (and getting Varnish disabled upstream for the appropriate URIs).
As soon as I disabled the WordPress HTTPS plugin we were good to go, then I re-enabled caching and it continued to work correctly
WordPress HTTPS has a admin over SSL option. That may be needed for it to work correctly.
