Hi – just a quick question. We use s2member plugin so we can offer our users different paid membership levels. We sell events using event espresso and sometimes we create online events which any one can buy into, but once they are bought into they give them access to certain s2member protected pages (this is for distance learning).
At the moment we sell the places via espresso then we manually create the delegates username and password in wordpress to tie into s2member. You can imagine the admin headache.
I’m not sure your membership plugin would address this? Any plans to tie in to s2member in this way?
Our membership plugin ties into the standard WordPress user system. So it basically lets you offer anyone with a user account special pricing and/or exclusive events. These are made available to any logged in, so they’d have to already have memberships.
We do not currently have plans to tie into S2. That said, I think S2 uses the standard WP user system and extends it.
Here’s a solution that might work for you: ask for a username on the reg form, then export the attendee report, then in a spreadsheet application, adjust the reports so you can batch import the users with this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/import-users-from-csv/
Hello pbriggs, I tried to find a way to contact you on the forums with a direct message but failed. I wanted to ask you about s2member. Please contact me here: lifewithjim @ gmail.com.
Sorry Josh if this was wrong of me to do. I could not find a way to contact another user on the forums.
