I noticed two things happening consitently when I duplicated events. 1. Each time I duplicated an event it would make two extras of the events instead of one. 2. mail chimp setting does not stick when duplicating. For instance if you set the specific list on the mail chimp drop down and then duplicate the event you have edit the duplicated course and actively set the list you want on the mail chimp setting. (this same thing used to happen with the drop choices for venue on the older EE version, not sure if it relates to drop down choices…) |

Hi, Regarding the Mailchimp issue, I can recreate this, I will get a developer ticket raised to look at fixing this in future versions, but I cannot confirm when this will occur as we are putting most of our developer time into the next major release. Regarding the duplication issue, I have not been able to recreate this. Is this a recent thing? Have you updated or added any plugins/theme recently? |
The duplicaton issue is definitely still happening on my end. I just created over 40 events and it was happening the whole time. The only plugins I’ve added are from EE. The social media, event calendar, and MER. |

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?
If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/
NOTE: login details need to be Admin level.

Hello, Thanks for the login details. I duplicated some of your live events and also created a test event and duplicated that. It only created one duplicate (the correct amount) each time. Is this issue still occurring for you? What browser and browser version are you using? You can head to this site and email the details to support (at) event espresso.com if it is easier for you. |
Hi there Dean, so this sounds lame but I’m on Firefox and I confirmed I’m on the most updated version because I went to their site and it says Im on the most udpated version but I’m not sure what that version is. Sorry. Usually I dont have conflicts with software on Firefox. What do you work on? So I went back and tried the duplication again and I’m NOT going crazy. Here is my process. I sorted my events down to August and went to my very last event. ID 213. I’ll leave these up (less than ideal) so you can see I’m not crazy. Also now when we delete these there will be a big gap in event ids. Is there a way to completely wipe these extras clean from the db? |

Hi, I logged in again, this time using the latest Firefox (20.0.1) and created an event and duplicated it. Still only one event was created. I also duplicated event ID 211 and again only one copy was created. So it must be something at your end, that is different to my set up. Do you have any Firefox add ons installed? (Firefox > tools menu > Add ons) If so, maybe try deactivating them and retrying the duplication. Very occasionally add ons can interfere with website processes. |

Oh and I use Chrome by default. Also the ids no, they cannot be amended without editing the database, the gaps are because events have been deleted etc. The events arent truly deleted, they are still available in the database and can be seen when you change the Staus filter to Deleted. |
