Hi,

Having very smugly searched the forums and found the answer to my query I followed the instructions to find it didn’t work!

However, I have used the UK .po file from the EE3 area of GLotPress since I am using EE3, made the adaptation, saved the file and then uploaded the .mo to the correct folder. I changed the Wpconfig anf tried both define(‘WPLANG’, ‘en_GB’); and define(‘WPLANG’, ‘en_UK’); but neither seemed to work.

Please advise ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you
Angus

Hi Angus,

WPLANG has been depreciated since WordPress 4.0 so you don’t do it that way any longer.

Which instructions did you follow?

On you site go to Dashboard -> Settings -> General.

There you’ll find the option for site language. Set that to English(UK) and save the settings.

Can you post up the full filename for your .MO file too please.

Thanks Tony.

The language setting is UK.

file name is event-espresso-en-gb.mo

Instructions were these ones https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/ (which I now realise were in the EE4 doc section) but I used the EE3 .po file.

Change the file name to:

event_espresso-en_GB.mo

Then check if the translations are working.

(Note if you change the .PO to that filename, minus the .mo obviously, then when you use POEdit to generate a new .MO it will use the correct filename)

Now I’m just annoyed with myself for missing such an obvious error!

In justification, having issues with incomplete payments, 2CO, et al. and not sure what is causing it. This was a little aside to distract myself briefly!
Thanks
