I have clicked to update the plugin from the wordpress dashboard and it failed to update and has deleted event espresso from my website.
I am very unhappy with the quality of this plugin so far, it has been very complicated to use with lots of issues along the way.
I finally thought I had got to a point where people could buy tickets from my website, publicised it and now it con not be used.

Can you please resend the form and be sure to fill out complete FTP credentials this time? We need to access the files on the server to fix the Event Espresso core plugin installation. Thanks.
I do not have the ftp credentials that you are asking for. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to figure this out on my Mac and can’t do it. This is exactly why I am not happy with this plugin. Far too much of my time is being taken up with problems using it
You can get FTP credentials by contacting your web host. We’d love to help you get up and running, and it turns out having FTP credentials are a basic necessity for anyone managing a WordPress site regardless of whether or not Event Espresso is installed.
