Plugin installation failed. Help!

Receiving the following message when trying to upload a new plugin to WP.

Installing Plugin from uploaded file: event-espresso-core-reg temp.zip
Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. /homepages/33/d455296976/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/

Plugin installation failed.

Return to Plugin Installer

I have deleted the file from my downloads folder and tried it again, but keep receiving the same message.

Hi,

If you go to your site’s WP > Plugins page and see Event Espresso 4 listed as an inactive plugin, you can activate it. If it’s not listed there, that means there’s a partial installation that needs to be deleted. In which case you’ll use a file manager (via your host’s control panel or FTP) and delete the event-espresso-core-reg folder located in wp-content/plugins.

Then you can install the plugin.
