Plugin conflict with Event Organiser Pro

I’m trying to configure Event Espresso Version 4.8.17.p on a site running WordPress 4.3.1, but notice that EE seems to conflict with the plugin we currently use to display events, Event Organiser Pro. When the EE plugin is activated, all existing Event Organiser events deliver 404 errors. I assume we’ll ultimately want to move events from the old plugin to EE. But for now, in order to bring back our events, I had to de-activate EE and all its add-ons. Unfortunately, this will prevent me from installing EE, of course. So, I’d like to be able to set up EE without killing our live events in the interim period until EE is completely set up. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like they may use the same “events” slug as we do. You can try updating the default “events” slug by visiting the WP admin > Event Espresso > Events > Templates setting page, then update the “Event Slug” setting to something else, like “ee-events”.

You may also need to re-save your permalink settings as well, in WP admin > Settings > Permalinks.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
