Hi, I am using Event Espresso to provide an event management system for a client, ESSA. They provide courses, such as a First Aid course, on specific dates which seem quite straightforward to set up. However, they also have what they call group booking events. For these, any group can pick any date and any activity. They have lots of combinations, listed at the end of this ticket. Because we have so many combinations, it looks to me that it would be easiest to create an event every day so that they can book any date. My email formatting went funny when trying to explain what I mean, so I’ve attached a document that explains my issue. My questions from it are: Please can you give some advice as to what would be the easiest/best way for ESSA and their customers to set up EventEspresso? For example, is there a way that customers can select the time of day as a drop down so that ESSA don’t have to list them all out? – Same with youth/adult? However these all have different prices so I don’t know how it will affect it? I do have the EE4 Everything License for EventEspresso. ————————— Event combinations We offer lots of different activities, at different times, with different prices for youth/adult. Combinations: (the time of day and youth/adult rate are all different prices) • Youth/student rate • Sailing • Taster session (all activities) We could have any of these for any day. Groups like to book with ESSA as it’s so flexible. Some examples of bookings we get – some easy, some tailored to the group To cover all the options/the above examples, I can only see that the event would be like this… Event name WEEKEND 7/8 April • Sail Sat full day youth • Camp Fri night • REPEAT ABOVE FOR SUNDAY • Multi Sat full day youth (sail, wobble, dragon) • REPEAT ABOVE FOR SUNDAY • Sail Sat half day (AM) youth • REPEAT ABOVE FOR SATURDAY half day (PM) • REPEAT ABOVE FOR SUNDAY half day (AM) • REPEAT ABOVE FOR SUNDAY half day (PM) • Launch fee Sat full day youth • REPEAT ABOVE FOR SUNDAY Weekdays would also include: |

Hi there, I’ve read over your request a few times and it sounds like the way forward will be to set up an event for each activity. Within each event/activity you can set up datetimes (i.e. morning, afternoon) and ticket options. Then to add group pricing, you can set up ticket bundles as well: |
