I have PHP 5.4 according to my hosting account but I am still getting this message when I try to activate the plugin:

We’re sorry, but Event Espresso requires PHP version 5.3.0 or greater in order to operate. You are currently running version 5.2.17.

How do I fix this? Why is it reading that I have 5.2.17 if I have higher than that. My test site is: http://inventivewebdesign.com/dev/

Hi,

Several web hosts offer the ability to switch between different versions of PHP. Were you previously on PHP 5.2 and recently switched to version 5.4?

My site was on another server when I set it up but the dev site I am working on (and that is linked above) is new. The server has been above 5.3 since I started using it (only a few months ago).

I have the same message showing up. Previously it was version 5.3.29 now version 5.4.32 but following message is still showing up. If Event Espresso does not recognize the right version, is this a problem?

“Event Espresso recommends PHP version 5.3.28 or greater in order for everything to operate properly. You are currently running version 5.3.21”

Hi,

Have you dismissed the message?

Where the notice is shown there should be a ‘Dismiss’ button on the bottom right of the notice. Once clicked this should update the notice config and should not display the massage again.

If Event Espresso does not recognize the right version, is this a problem?

The notice is created when your PHP version is < 5.3.28 and stored within the EE_Config, this notice is then displayed until dismissed (which updates the config)
