PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function external_url() on string in /chroot/home/(url removed)/html/wp-content/plugins/eea-events-grid-view-template/
templates/espresso-grid-template.template.php:24

I saw another post about this same issue and support mentioning page builders. We don’t have any page builders here.

We recently updated to PHP 8.2

Hi there,

Can I take a look at the site? I’ll need WP Admin and FTP access to do so, if that’s ok just send the details over using this form and I’ll check into it:

Thank you, so I’ve managed to narrow this down and can reproduce it so I’ve created a ticket for our developers to investigate and fix asap.

In the meantime I recommend reverting to the previous version of EE, I can either install that for you now or send you the .zip to install yourself?

You can fall back to the old version for us. Thank you.

Great, I’m glad it worked.

We’ve tracked this down to some code we added within core to fix an issue with the weird and wonderful things some themes/plugins do to WP_Query, unfortunately, its causing issues with EE’s CPT strategy for some setups which then causes a fatal if something tries to use an EE_Event attached to the current post.

Anyway… we are digging into it and will get a fix out asap.
