Is there a way to permanently delete trashed datetimes and trashed tickets? The easiest way for me to create new events (classes) is to duplicate old ones and just change the dates and some other things. But this has caused me to end up with a bunch of old and unneeded tickets on the duplicated events. I know I can use the filters to not see those trashed items but I’d like to get rid of them permanently.

Hi there,

When you say you duplicate the event, people use that term interchangeably between events and datetimes.

So are you duplicating the event itself or the datetimes?

Is there a way to permanently delete trashed datetimes and trashed tickets?

Yes, if they don’t have registrations assigned to them (or more specifically with datetimes becuase a ticket can be assigned to multiple datetimes, if they are the ‘last’ datetime assigned and have no registrations).

What I would do here is if you are duplicating the event as a whole then after doing so disable the filters in the editor (click the X next to each filter):

https://monosnap.com/file/HPrjJhMigX3hcpYZxNbeLB6dc1Ih0V

You’ll then see all datetimes/tickets within that event. Heres how mine looks:

I have a trashed datetime and 2 expired tickets.

If you click on the Stacked icon and then delete permenantely:

https://monosnap.com/file/l0CoJikIxwpnDuz73o02FQJYsybbNG

That will remove the entity you are currently working on (you can do the same with trashed datetimes and tickets).

If you do that on your next duplicate, the time after that when you duplicate the event you’ll only duplicate whatever is setup on that specific event which at that point doesn’t have the trashed tickets etc.

Does that help?

Thanks, yes that helps! I was overlooking the “delete permanently” option.
