Hi! it seems every month or so, the event registration page will give an error where it can’t find it. (I’m sorry I can’t remember any more details about that)
To fix it is to reset the permalinks in wordpress but I’m wondering why this keeps happening and how to permanently fix it?

Usually the cause for this is another plugin or the theme resetting the rewrite rules. We’ve not been able to track this on any testing sites, so a permanent fix would be a guess at this point. If you want to try a fix that we came up with (which was a guess) we have this branch you can install on your site: Download link
The above download is basically the same as the current version of EE4 with the only difference being it moves the Event Espresso custom Post Types rewrites to a later hook point. The idea being if another plugin comes in and flushes the rewrite rules, then Event Espresso’s won’t get removed.
Your web server may not be allowing the zip file to be uploaded due to its size in total megabytes. For example if the server’s limit is 4MB and the plugin you try to install is 6MB zipped, then you’ll get that error. Here’s a guide that shows how to increase the limit:
Or you could contact your webhost and ask them to raise the uploaded file size limit.
