Having an issue with People Type. I have two ‘Types’ of People.

Type 1 and
Type 2

I have “User A” and “User B” in (Type 1) in the Event Espresso people manager and I have “User C” and “User D” in (Type 2). However on the post type where I want to use them, they are being listed as (Type 1) -> “User A”, “User B”, “User C”, “User D” and (Type 2) -> “User A”, “User B”, “User C”, “User D”.

They each should only contain specific “People” but are instead including every “Person”. They’re also not being sorted alphabetically. Any assistance is much appreciated thank you.

Hi there,

Still waiting for a response

‘Bumping’ your threads will have the opposite effect than intended as we try to work through the forums dates on last reply date, so bumping effectively moves your question to the back of the queue.

Some threads, like yours, we need to investigate and confirm the expected behaviour with our developers so can take a little time to work through, others we can reply to whilst waiting for feedback.

With the people add-on, the ‘type’ that you add them to basically groups them to display them on the front end, for example, if you go to {domain}/people-type/{type}/ it will list the people assigned to those types.

So in your example {domain}/people-type/type-1 would list User A and User B.

{domain}/people-type/type-2 would list User C and User D.

However on each individual event User A could well be any of those types… for example on Event A,B,C User A is a speaker, but on Event D they are Staff. So the group/type they are selected on is the default for them to view on the front end, but you can select any type for any user on the event itself.

Currently, you can’t change the order people are listed in the metaboxes, I can request a filter is added that will allow for this.
