The image which follows the headline “Display Order” in this article indicates that the list of people is filtered by a category assignment. That does not seem to work in my installation. All the people end up under every accordion category on each event in the event editor page.

Hi there,

The way in which people are displayed above is the expected output for the people add-on, the reaosn being that ‘people’ may be assigned per event, meaning a person may be a ‘Speaker’ in one event and an ‘Volunteer’ in another.

The people add-on currently does not pull specific people for specific types within the event.

That’s an interesting take on that. The graphic in the documentation is misleading in this regard.

I would up-vote the ability to somehow tag people into a category list: where people can be in multiple categories rather than list “Everyone All The Time”.

This section? – https://monosnap.com/file/ZWtPzKMtGJEXgFRaulcYBNSGRDvWDq

Note how moth sections have exactly the same users in each section, just different people are assigned to the event. The display order is referring to the value you can set in the side to change the order of people in each section.

OK, but what you are requesting is how it is now.

You can set any person as any type on any event.

If people only show in specific types, you would need to edit a person and then add them to multiple types, which would then show that way in all previous events in the editor. The difference between the two is you set the type per event rather than the type per person, the latter being more strict on the use cases it covers.
