I’m trying to change a part of the filename that all of my PDF invoices have. When I was teaching myself this system, I created a “test” event that I eventually published. Unfortunately, the invoice filenames still say “test” despite the event name having been changed. How can I correct this? |
Hi, Could you restore a default version of the Invoice gateway and see if the issue continues? If you modified the core, then you can download a new copy of Event Espresso to retrieve a default version. — |

Where is the invoice gateway and how would I restore it? |
Lets try this instead. What are the changes that you made? Were any core plugin files edited? — |

I didn’t edit any core files. I created an event, called it “test summit” (the event has the word “Summit” in it), then eventually changed the event name once I got the hang of the system. Despite having a new event name, all of my invoices show “test summit” in their file names. |
The invoice file format should look like this: Sitename_#18-14-1-ba2e44-1_for_firstname_lastname.pdf Are you running the latest software? — |

Yes, I am running the latest version. Are you sure it’s the SiteName, rather than the Unique Event Identifier? Looks like the Unique Event Identifier in my event overview is what’s causing it. It still shows “test-summit” although the Event Name has since been changed. See image: Is there any way to edit the Unique Event Identifier? |

Hi Craig, It turns out you can via phpMyAdmin. Most hosts will have this installed and you can access it by logging into to host’s control panel. Then you navigate to the _events_detail table, then edit the event’s event_identifier value. Here’s a screenshot showing what the editor looks like. |

Great, thanks! I’ll give it a shot. |
I understand now. You are running EE3 and that is the slug. You can change that through the DB. Be sure to backup before making any changes. If you are not comfortable making this change, then I would create a new event and copy and paste the information over. Then delete the original event. — |
