Hi,

The “full order confirmation receipt” shows correctly when I click the link:
https://ddl-conference.com/?ee=msg_url_trigger&snd_msgr=html&gen_msgr=html&message_type=receipt&context=purchaser&token=1-d4e25785e9176d32e12f1385232fae48&GRP_ID=1&id=1599

But the PDF shows an unformatted version of the ddl-conference.com homepage:
https://ddl-conference.com/?ee=msg_url_trigger&snd_msgr=pdf&gen_msgr=html&message_type=receipt&context=purchaser&token=1-d4e25785e9176d32e12f1385232fae48&GRP_ID=1&id=0

Thanks for any help.

Hi there,

The DOMPDF library we use for generating PDF’s is much pickier over invalid HTML than your browser and will throw fatal errors with invalid elements.

I can see you’ve modified the receipt template and looking over the source code it looks like there are additional tr and td tags that may be causing this. Have you checked the servers error logs for any errors from Event Espresso when testing this?

I’m assuming the default template works as expected and download the PDF before changes were made? You’ll need to work through that template and make sure the HTML in use is valid for the PDF to work.

Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction – I have fixed the template and it downloads fine now.

Great customer service. You can close this case now.

Thanks.
