Hi Guys,
I have big issue some people when they register for the event and pay through paypal and the payment go through they receive email saying the payment failed so they go again and register and pay then they recieve email saying payment failed.

I got the payment 2 or 3 times and I had to go and refund them through paypal. There states in the back end in pending….How can I fix that?

I’m running Event Espresso – 4.9.22.p Version 4.6.1

You can use PayPal Express instead of PayPal Standard. PayPal Express was bundled into EE4 core a little while back and works much better than PayPal Standard did.

When they receive the email saying the payment failed, is the email from your site or is it from PayPal.com?

You can actually disable that message from the Event Espresso > Messages > Settings page. If at any time during their payment they input the wrong credit card number, that message would get triggered. In this case, you probably don’t want that message to go out since PayPal would have already shown them on the payment form what they need to do to correct their payment info.

If I do that, It will disable all the going out messages including the confirmation. Please advice

Hi abouna,

The option Josh is referring to is not disabling all of the messages system but de-activating the Payment Failed message type by dragging that message type into the ‘Inactive message types’ section – http://take.ms/W1MSN
