Paypal Standard Not Recording Payment in EE4

I just upgrade to EE4 from EE3. It’s all gone pretty smoothly, but I just did a test payment using Paypal Standard. The payment went through in paypal, all the emails were sent. The integration with Mailchimp worked, etc. However, the registration in Event Espresso still shows as “Pending Payment” and that they still owe the $10 which was processed by paypal. Anything I can do to troubleshoot why Paypal isn’t communicating back to EE4 that the payment was indeed completed so it can record it as such?

Hi John,

We recommend switching to use the PayPal Express payment method that’s bundled with Event Espresso 4. You can use your same PayPal account, and you follow this guide to get your API keys for PayPal Express:
