Hello
I’m trying to change the paypal email address under Paypal Standard because I had to change to a Paypal Business account and had to use a new address.
When I try to change the email address and hit the “Update Paypal Standard Payment Settings” I receive the following error message:
An error has occurred:
Payment method of type Paypal Standard was not saved because there were validation errors. They have been marked in the form
Payments_Admin_Page – _update_payment_method – 767
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Cara,
Can you make sure that you don’t have any spaces before or after any of the answers in the fields?

Hi Jonathan,
Are you referring to the answer fields on the PayPal Standard form under the Payments Method tab?
If so, I checked and there are no spaces before or after any of the answers including the new email address I typed in.

Hi Cara,
We have a check in place that should change the image link from HTTP to HTTPS if there is an SSL certificate in place.
We’ve found a couple cases that the tracking is inaccurate and causes the validation to be incorrect (e.g. your site does not have its own SSL)
Could you try the following change?
If the site URL does not have www in it, could you add that and save changes to the image URL?

Sorry I’m not sure I understand what image URL you are referring to. The answer box next to the Image URL is empty.
The answer box next to the Paypal button is https://pathfitness.ca/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/payment_methods/Paypal_Standard/lib/paypal-logo.png
Are you referring to the Paypal button image? If so I tried adding www but still getting the same error message.

Yes. Please add www. before pathfitness.ca in that field.

I’ve added the www. so now it reads https://www.pathfitness.ca/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/payment_methods/Paypal_Standard/lib/paypal-logo.png
I am still getting the same error message.

Hi Cara,
I added a little fixer plugin to your site that’s named: “Fix for Event Espresso 4 https button images”. You’ll be able to change the PayPal gateway settings now.
