PayPal standard

If you use PayPal standard only, does this work with the registration system and messaging?

Yes the supported gateways are fully integrated into Event Espresso.

I’m assuming as you mention ‘Messaging’ that this is in regards to EE4, is that correct?

Yes. i am using EE4. I wasn’t sure what the API was all about and whether I need that for this plugin to work. We really want to use the PayPal standard here.

Hello,

PayPal Standard is available as a payment gateway for Event Espresso 4.

You can set it up through WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> Payment Methods. Then click on PayPal Standard in the menu and then enable it. From there, you can enter your PayPal account email and save changes.
