I want to have both Paypal Express and Pro to be active for our event expresso. API keys have been both entered in but only our paypal express is working. Whenever someone puts in their credit card for paypal pro, they get an error message. Am I pasting in the incorrect api key for paypal pro?

Hi there,

Do you have a PayPal Pro account? There is a monthly fee to use PayPal Pro and you have to sign up to ‘Website Payment Pro’ (named a little differently depending on location) within your PayPal account, if your not paying a monthly fee specifically for that your account is not et up to use PayPal Pro.

Also, are you aware you need the highest level of PCI compliance required by you (your server) when using an onsite payment method like PayPal Pro? I’m not trying to scare you aware from using it as it’s not impossible but SAQ-D is required for the above.

Having said all that, what is the error shown by PayPal Pro?

You can check if you go to Event Espresso -> Registrations.

Find a registration that used PayPal Pro and click on the TXN date, now look in the ‘Gateway response’ field, what is shown there?
