Hello,

Currently my site lists USA and Canada as the only countries that can be selected during credit card processing via Pay Pal Pro. How do I modify the check out/credit card processing step to allow international registrations with foreign credit cards?

Hi Blake,

There are two options to change this. You can update the countries manually through the countries screen within your WP dashboard:

Alternatively, you could run a SQL query through a tool like PHPMyAdmin. You should only try this if you are experienced with working with the database.

Begin by performing a full WordPress backup.

Then login to your database through phpmyadmin or an equivalent tool such as Adminer.

The following SQL query will enable all countries in the dropdown list:

Be sure to update dbprefix to your actual database prefix and update the name of the database.

Again, be sure to backup your WordPress before attempting this query.

Lorenzo,

Correct that is how you change the country selection on a registration page. My question is how do you change it in the check out phase when someone is providing detailed payment information?

Hello again Blake, I checked a testing site and countries that are enabled should appear.

For example, I was testing a new payment gateway so I needed to enable some additional countries and those did appear on the payment option (step 2) screen of registration checkout:

What happens if you manually enable a country and set it to appear in the country dropdown list and save changes?

If I manually add it, it does appear at check out. There has to be a way to mass enable besides turning each country on one by one.

Hi Blake,

Did you run the SQL query via PHPMyAdmin or Adminer that I mentioned earlier?
