Hi, just a quick question. I have seen there is a ‘PayPal Pro Flow’ add on available for event espresso. I have realised though that it is for use in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. This is a shame as i am in the UK. Are there any plans to port this over to UK customers? or is it possible now? Many thanks. PhilB |
Hi PhilB, We can’t provide support for PayPal PayFlow in the UK as that product is not available within the UK. Take a look here: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/howto_product_matrix/ and https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/products/payflow-gateway/#availability-and-support So its not a restriction within EE but PayPal themselves 🙂 |

Thanks for clearing that up Tony. Il take a look at the articles you posted then start looking for an alternative. PhilB |
What type of payment method are you looking for? Why do you want PayFlow? If you let m know your requirements I can recommend another payment method that may be suitable. I’d highly recommend taking a look at Stripe its an a bit of a hybrid on-site/off-site payment method. It displays the payment form within an iframe so your user never actually leaves your site and you don’t have much to do for PCI compliance. However it all depends on what your looking for. |

Sorry Tony i was not aware you had replied. That is one of the main issues. A lot of our registrants are not very tech/internet savvy and we have had a few complaints that users are taken away from our website and that we only accept PayPal. A couple of customers though realised that they could ‘pay as guest’ on PayPal and use their credit/debit cards instead. We had thought about offering the option on our website to make it easier for them. I had initially thought about getting the link to the guest payment page and hard coding a button for the payment option but i dont think i will be able to pass the ‘token’ that is added to the URL when they go to PayPal. I will take a look at Stripe this afternoon and see if it will work for us. Would we still be able to take payments via PayPal with stripe? Thanks, Phil |
Pay using PayPal through Stripe? No as its its own payment provider. With Stripe you just need card details to pay, no login etc. However you can have both PayPal AND Stripe active at the same time on the site, the user can then chose either. If you do that the payment options look like this: http://take.ms/mGEyG (Note I also have invoice enabled but you can disable it preferred) |

Fantastic, if i can run both at the same time then perfect. We wouldnt want to leave PayPal payments completely, but would like to give the option. I’ll take a look this afternoon and run it past the people who’s website we are running and see what they say. PhilB |
You can have as many payment methods enabled within EE as you prefer (although more than a few usually causes more confusion for your users as they then don’t know which one to select) but there’s actually nothing preventing you from having them all active if preferred. If you have any further questions please do let me know. |

Hi Phil, I wanted to let you know that Braintree will let you also accept PayPal payments through the same payment method. Thanks — |
