I’ve read through a bunch of old threads on this issue but it just started happening to me with the latest update. It happens every 10-20 registrations. I haven’t had this issue in the past 8 months of using the plugin either.

Hi,

With the issue being erratic, is there any way to find out more information about when it does happen, for example:

Is it a particular event?
Is the user using a particular browser?
Is JavaScript enabled?
IS a particular card type being used?

I know that some/all of this info will maybe not be available, but I am just wondering if we can find a correlation for the issue what with it being fairly random.

It has happened on multiple events.

Chrome and Firefox are typically used.

JS is enabled. I dont modify anything through the checkout pages other than css.

It happens to both VISA and MasterCard.

Maybe it’s an issue of the payment showing up incomplete so the user submits their card info again?

Hi Daniel,

The users may be clicking the payment button twice. That will cause the payment to go through twice. What we’ve recommended in the past is to insert some text just above the payment button that instructs to only click the payment button once.

Alright. Will do. Thanks.

You’re welcome. There’s an open ticket to help user proof this and disable the submit button on click -if- the form validates, which should help in situations like this one.
