PayPal Payment MIA

I have PayPal Express set up on the site, and had somebody register for one of our upcoming events. However, we did not receive the payment. I believe the set up was still in debugging mode by accident when she registered. The payment details show as “success” and a confirmation number, but the funds are nowhere to be found. Help please 🙂

Hi there,

If the payment method was still in debug mode, that would mean you had sadnbox credentials saved in the payment method and had the ‘Debug mode’ set to on within the settings, is that correct?

If so then the ‘payment’ would have gone to the PayPal sandbox and no actual payment would have been taken, if the user logged into sandbox with the test credentials then they could proceed through as if they paid and EE will receive the approved response from PayPal, but again, not really exchange would have taken place.

So do you have both ‘live’ and ‘sandbox’ credentials for PayPal?
