PayPal not getting Money

From my registration page, when people pay with PayPal the money is not being sent to PayPal. I keep getting an IPN error. How do I fix this? I do not have musch background in fixing problems so I need simple directions written so I can understand the directions.

Hi there,

Step one is to make sure that the PayPal ID that’s entered in Event Espresso>Payment settings is the correct email address. If it’s the same email address you log in with at PayPal.com then it’s correct.

Hi Lynda,

Can you please send us the email that says the IPN is not working? Also, can you please verify that your PayPal email address is correct on on your Payment Settings page?

While I was looking into your support request, I noticed that you had PayPal Pro activated, but it was not set up correctly (screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/jdjQ8oKrhgvP). None of the API fields were populated. Do you have a PayPal Pro account? If not, then the PayPal Pro gateway should not be activated. Just a guess at this point in time, but this may have been why you were receiving these emails stating that the IPN was not working.

Further to this, it looks to me like PayPal is unable to connect to your website OR the “transactions” page (the page that PayPal connects to in order to update the payments), therefore it is unable to update the payment status of your attendees. This can possibly be resolved by adding a stripped down WordPress page template to the “transactions” page that was generated by Event Espresso. I can do this for you, but I will need you to send me FTP login details for your server.
