I received an e-mail from PayPal with the following warning: Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing: That is followed by two IPN addresses. |
Hi Jim, No you do not need to add any other information to the page, just the [ESPRESSO_TXN_PAGE] shortcode, the page must be publicly published but it does NOT need to be included within any menu’s/navigation and therefore hidden from the public. The 4 required pages for Event Espresso need to set within Event Espresso -> General Settings. If you go to Event Espresso -> System Status. Look under Registration Pages. |

Tony I do have some problem areas in the System Status, but I assume those questions should be separate. |
Hi Jim, Yes please separate the questions this is not really a rule as such, it just helps to allow us to work on individual issues rather than confusing one issue with another. The resolved button helps us identify which threads still need work, if you could change the notification status when your issue is resolved that would be great. Again not so much of a rule as either we will resolve the thread if we believe it to be so, or they are automatically resolved after 14 days anyway. |

I got another e-mail from PayPal about IPN issues. In poking around, I found a forum thread where I learned I’d made a couple of mistakes that might explain the problem. First, I had clicked to “Force HTTPS” without having one. I changed that. Second, I’d never gone into my PayPal settings to set up the IPN stuff. I did that, hopefully correctly. Oh, and where I’d earlier reported that there was no Transaction page, there was. It was on the second page of my full page listings and I didn’t see it. I deleted the second one I’d erroneously created. I’m guessing the IPN settings should solve my issue. Your thoughts? |
I’d agree, but you can test your IPN out to be certain about whether configuring the settings solves the issue? |

I assume that testing is with the sandbox deal. |
That is a correct assumption. |
