I have looked through various posts concerning this topic and also looked through all the change logs for newer versions of EE3 that may have addressed issues with IPN. However, I couldn’t find any specific changes that would appear to address this issue directly.
Due to the client’s business process, the templates had to be customized quite extensively so we have opted to avoid upgrading for now if at all possible.
My questions are:
1. If Event Espresso shows that the attendee has successfully paid via PayPal, doesn’t this mean that IPN is actually working?
2. In the PayPal control panel, it definitely shows that it thinks IPN is NOT working, even though the money is there for all the transactions, and the website seems to be receiving the confirmation that the transaction was successful. Could the problem be with some configuration on PayPal?
3. We are using event-espresso.3.1.24.1.P. Do you know which of the new versions specfically addresses this issue / and if so, can I simply update the PayPal payment gateway files to resolve it?
