Paypal IPN not confirming

Hi,

 

I am trying to use the Paypal Sandbox IPN to test my site.  I have created my Paypal account and turned on the notifications for IPN (using mysite.com/transactions as the url).

I have followed the steps provided to set up EE with Paypal however nothing actually occurs.  For example,  My PayPal ID on the plugin side is my email address on the Paypal side.  Ive created an event that costs $5 and submitted some fake user data.  Then I took the debugging URL and entered that into the Paypal IPN URL and it returns successful.  This however is where I am confused.  Both EE and Paypal records nothing.  I cant find any transaction history on the Paypal side, nor has EE confirmed the payment.

 

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Then I took the debugging URL and entered that into the Paypal IPN URL and it returns successful.

What do you mean by this? You should have to copy and paste the URL. Once you select the Paypal option, it should take you directly to Paypal for payment, then once the payment is processed, take you back to your site.

Thank you for your reply.  Im posting this in case anyone else runs into the same issue but after tracking down the log files (which I should have done first, just slipped my mind) I found out that PayPal wouldnt confirm due to SSL.  I am hosting my website on the Azure Cloud and it does not support SSL so everytime I entered in the correct information everything would seem to be successful but no ‘fake’ payments ever went through due to the SSL.
