Hi there,

With PayPal, the only option we have when sending the user over is to basically say “allow quest checkout if you wish”. Its totally up to PayPal if they offer that option or not and we can’t control any other part of the process other than to say it is allowed.

So unfortunately no other workaround is available is its all on PayPal servers and totally up to them what they allow, they assess the request based on risk, location and various other factors that no-one knows and choose if they allow that option or not.

If not, can I switch to another payment processor?

Sure, my recommendation would be Stripe:

That is correct, Event Espresso 4 core includes:

Auth.net AIM (onsite)
PayPal Express
PayPal Payments Pro (onsite)
Electronic Funds Transfer
Check/Money order
Invoice

All other payment methods are included as additional add-ons, or if you switch your license to be the everything license you get access to them all.

See here: https://eventespresso.com/features/event-registration-payments/

Note that onsite payment methods require the highest level of PCI compliance on your part
