Hello Tony, Please get back to me ASAP. This issue is crucial for us because it is directly related to sales, and we don’t want to lose them. |

Hi there,
May I ask where you’ve seen that recommended by Event Espresso? I’ve never heard of that payment method and it’s definitely not one we recommend for EE. That’s not to say there is anything wrong with it but it’s not related to EE at all and wont work with our checkout (which is why your not seeing it load), I’d never heard of until I just googled it and spotted its a WooCommerce payment method. Our recommended PayPal integration is the one built into Event Espresso itself. On your site that sits in Dashboard -> Event Espresso -> Payment Methods -> PayPal Commerce. Whilst we encourage 3rd party payment methods and I/we will link show/link them to customers if we don’t have an integration with the payment method they are requesting, we can’t officially recommend anything we ourselves don’t create, support and maintain ourselves. The above payment method is for WooCommerce and will not work with Event Espresso, if there is somewhere we are recommending that payment method for EE I’d like to get that clarified. |

Hi Mark, Sorry but there seems to be some misunderstanding here, none of those threads recommend “PayPal Complete Payments” anywhere, they all reference “PayPal Commerce” which is the payment method built into Event Espresso that I mentioned above: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/paypal-commerce-checkout-payment-gateway/ |
Even you guys have a blog in Event Espresso Payment Methods about this payment method here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/paypal-commerce-checkout-payment-gateway/ |

The above screenshot sends me here: https://www.screenpresso.com/cloud/ZA8laGw5zyFP/ Which shows:

That’s correct but it doesn’t reference “PayPal Complete Payments” anywhere at all, I don’t understand where that reference has come from? There’s no reference to any other payment method, section, WooCommerce, PayPal Complete Payments or Angelleye in any of those links. We reference “PayPal Commerce” and in the screenshots shown above you can see that’s within Event Espresso -> Payment Methods as it’s built into Event Espreso core. So the payment method you need to activate is the PayPal Commerce payment method listed above, that will show within EE, the PayPal Complete Payments one for Woo, will not. |
Forget the above. Indeed I am using PayPal Commerce but card options are not showing on EE checkout. I can just see the PayPal option. The credit card option is not available. |
OK, so in that case, in the PayPal Commerce payment method options, what is the “Checkout Type” option set to? For both the PayPal Buttons and Card fields you’ll need that set to ‘Both, ACDC and Express Checkout’. Is it currently set to ‘Express Only’? |
I can’t see checkout type option in payment settings |
Hmm, strange. When you connected the PayPal account did you check the checkbox to accept credit/debug cards on the modal? The bottom checkbox here: https://monosnap.com/file/4sQ3bPJPiAYnRL2FKNmOdpHFUnZTVm Try disconnecting PayPal Commerce and reconnecting, be sure the above checkbox is checked. Does it show the checkout options then? |
