PayPal Commerce unable to connect

Good day,

I’m experiencing some trouble with PayPal. It was working fine for a while but then it stopped working and was giving these errors on the checkout page:

“This merchant is not eligible for Advanced Card Fields checkout type”
“Got an error response (AJAX): There was an error with this payment. See the logs for details”

After a bit of googling, I found a thread that suggests disconnecting from PayPal and clearing the meta data.

I did it and now when I try to connect to PayPal again, I just see a spinning gear but it doesn’t go anywhere. I saw this error in the console: “TypeError: this_pm.onboard_window is null”

Hi there,

We had a couple of reports of this and have been investigating but during testing, it now works again.

Can you check if you can now connect, please?

I’m not a fan of black box fixes as I don’t know why it failed… but we’ll keep an eye on it.
