I’m currently using Version 3.1.37.18.P of Event Espresso and when I go to my Payment Settings screen I’m not seeing the option for PayPal Commerce. Given that I need to switch things over by January 15th I’m hoping you can help me figure out this issue sonn.

Hi there,
Your running EE3, the payment method deprecations you are referring to apply to EE4 (the more recent version of Event Espresso). EE3 will not change on January 15th. The current patent methods will remain active, but it’s important to note that EE3 is our legacy product and is being phased out in favour of EE4.
I would advise you start looking into/planning a switch over to EE4 (at which point you can set up PayPal Commerce), you don’t need to have that done by Jan 15th but over the next 12 months it is likely that EE3 will be officially deprecated in favour of EE4.

Thank you for this update. I didn’t see anything in the WordPress notification nor in the linked support document that specified that this change was isolated to EE4 hence my confusion. I’d recommend perhaps updating your linked to doc https://support.eventespresso.com/article/612-deprecated-payment-methods-2025 with perhaps some kind of message to let users know this change only impacts EE4 users.
I’ll undoubtedly advise our client on moving over to EE4, is there a migration document or process we should be aware of for going from EE3 to EE4?
