paypal commerce inplementation information

I’m looking for more information on setting up the PayPal Commerce payment method. When I upgraded, I saw the message to change to this payment method so I set it up. But it is not working as expected.
1) Can this method have an off-site payment option – to go out to a payment gateway for billing information instead of having it on the the website screen?
2) Do you know why this error occurred: “This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again.” What it is trying to do?

Can you give more information about the error you encounter? Can you tell us what kind of Paypal account are you using? is it personal? business? or Charity?

Can you try connecting it again?

1. The guide doesn’t describe the Checkout Type options – so I tried all three. The only one that doesn’t get an error is Express Checkout which only allows PayPal options – Pay with PayPal OR Pay Later.
2. It is a Business account according to PayPal, even though we are a non-profit.
3. I disconnected and connected again successfully.
4. The error was as I said in the original post: “This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again.”
– you can close the message and fields for billing info remain on the screen
– if you refresh the page, Event Espresso tells you you have nothing in the queue.
– But this means the billing info is not OFF-site

I disconnected and connected again successfully.

After you did this. Can you confirm if you can now do some purchase?

This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again

Did you see this error again after you did Reconnect your Paypal?
