Paypal button not displaying on checkout

In the registration page, in “Please choose a payment option:”, the image for the paypal button displays a broken image link. The path to the button gives a 404 error as well.

error path:
http://mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso.3.1.24.1.P/gateways/paypal/btn_stdCheckout2.gif

The image exists but the path is: event-espresso/gateways/paypal/

How can I fix this?

Try deactivating and reactivating the PayPal gateway, then update the URL in the PayPal payment setttings.
