Hi the connection between the Event espresso payment system and Square had disconnected, so to get it working again I had to go through the re-authentication process, and re-connect, then run a test etc.

We need to check/ensure why would it have disconnected in the first place, once we know that we can then hopefully ensure it doesn’t happen again 🙂

We’re not missing this. We have not been able to reproduce this so it’s become really difficult to do debug. If you have any more information or hints on what might be causing this please let us know. As such, this is already on the list for our development team to review to see if we can make the token system more stable.

Hi there,

We’ve spent some time investigating this and as it doesn’t affect all users it’s hard to troubleshoot. However, we’ve made some changes to how the Square payment method refreshes the authorization token it uses which we believe is what is causing this.

I can send you a copy of the Square plugin with the latest changes if you would like to test it? We currently have it active on a couple of test sites and a couple of user sites who reported this to see if it helps (it seems there is an issue roughly every 30 days), if so it will be pushed out as an update to all.
