Our events have been set up so that they can be booked offsite or in our store.
I have a payment option of Pay on the Door which is only active for one of the events we host
We have an information point where we would like also to be able to accept cash payments on all our events.
Can I change the Bank payment type to Cash?
IF so how does it treat the payment and the booking in terms of whether the person has paid or not.
Currently staff on the information point will access the event as though they were a member of the public and not through the back end

You could rebrand the Bank payment method are Cash if you prefer yes. You can edit most of the details within the Event Espresso -> Payment Methods section.
However all payment methods will finalize the registration using the given Default registration status for the event (unless using an online payment method that can track the sale). Offline payment methods do not ‘Approve’ registrations if the default registration status is set to anything other than Approved as this would mean your events would fill up simply by users selecting an offline payment method and never actually paying.
Currently in order to accept cash payments that will approve the registration the admin would need access to the registration within the admin to both apply the payment and alter the status.
Thank you – this is probably what I thought that we need to be Admin and enter the information manually.
We think we have found a way of making this work instore. Ideally we would like people to book away from the store and pay online with their card
Another option is to guide them through the registration process on the front end within the store.
That way they can register and pay with a card whilst in store, obviously some people still may chose to pay using cash, but just another possibility.
Do you not want the store to have any access to the admin at all? Its possible to create a role that can only has capabilities to view specific sections within EE. For a user to process cash they would need to login, view the registration for the event and approve that registration, you could give them an account that only has access to those features but it would require some work to get your role setup how you prefer and some training to use the admin for the above.
