Payment Status: Completed

I have a problem with EE Version 3.1.36.5.P and WP 3.9.1
When I create an event I want to be able to chose that the payment status is “Completed”. Now it just has the option “Pending”, “Incomplete” and “No Change”.

I remember on an older site with an older EE versions I could do this. What is the problem now? Have I missed some settings? I’ve looked everywhere.

Hi,

The ‘Completed’ registration status was removed in v3.1.35+

We found that when the default registration status was set Completed for non-free events, the attendee would be taken to the transaction page and would appear to make a successful payment although the payment would not actually be taken, due to the registration status already being complete.

Within EE3 Pending registrations apply to the attendee limits for the event so this is almost the same as Complete with the exception that payments can continue to be made. So if you wish for your attendee to have a space allocated to them before making a payment, use a default registration status of ‘Pending’.

OK, I’m not sure how I should do in the settings, but the payments are made on location outside of the system – so that’s how I used the status before.

If I choose pending it seems you still get an e-mail saying it’s not confirmed until payment is done, but I want it to be confirmed even though the payment isn’t done whilst booking, because you still have a reserved spot until you pay (manually).

So what/how should I do?

Hi,

That is because the registrants haven’t paid any funds so far. A status of pending will still reserve a spot against the attendee list.

Are you seeing something different?

Ok so they manually have to set it to “paid”, I get it =)…
Just one other thing.

When confirming registration: There are 2 “boxes” of info, one is about the event, the other one is the attendees name, last name and e-mail.

I want to change the labels “first name”, “last name” and “e-mail”- I’ve manually translated necessary parts to Swedish, and want to change these as well, but I can’t find them anywhere in the different template files located under /templates/

Can you help me out?

Sure, please change those in WordPress admin –> Event Espresso –> Questions.

Thank you. I also have problems editing the text “Start Time:” and “End Time:” and “Price” that show up directly under the description inside the event.

Thanks a lot for your assistance!

Is there any way to add an excerpt or something to the event listings, before entering it and viewing full content? Any function I need to add somewhere? Because I think I accidentally removed it, can’t really recall. Thanks!

Hello,

We recommend opening a new support post for additional questions.

The excerpt is included on the event list page. Check WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Templates –> Event List Pages –> Display Description:
