Payment status after PAYPAL transaction

Hi,
I’m facing the problem related to Payment Status after the successful transaction on PayPal.
After payment on PayPal is completed, the ‘Thanks for your order’ message appears on the last PayPal page. Then user is redirected back to the website.
The first page that appears after, is Payment Overview with the Payment status: Incomplete.
The obvious thing would be to expect to see Payment status: Complete, but this is not happening…
In General Setting (in Advanced Features), I have set up the Default Payment status to: Incomplete, is it somehow related?
Are there any other setting that I should set up to make that status appear: Complete?
Would you be able to help me where is the problem?

Hi Thomas,

In this case setting the default payment status to incomplete is the correct setting. The Instant Payment Notification received from PayPal will trigger the change to the Completed payment status.

There are a few things that will prevent the Instant Payment Notification from reaching your website. We cover them in this guide that outlines how to set up the PayPal IPN:
