Payment refund process with Mollie.nl payment gateway (two step process?)

Hi there,

We have major confusion about the Payment refund process with payment gateway Mollie. We click on the button “Process Refund” but then nothing is being processed with our Payment Gateway. We need to do this in a timeconsuming manner: login at mollie.nl process the refund, log back in to our Event Espresso site and click the “Process Refund” button… Is this the only option to process Refunds?

Anyone had any customization done to solve this issue?

Hi Manuela,

You are correct, it is a two-step process because Event Espresso does not have the means to communicate with the payment gateway when a refund is set in either place.

One approach that a developer could take (if it’s supported by the iDeal/mollie API) is extend the EE4 Mollie gateway to automatically update the transaction and registration(s) statuses when a notification is received from the gateway. One of the developers listed here may be able to build this:

Hi there,

We do not monitor the projects the developers on that page undertake, it is simply a listing of developers that have worked on Event Espresso.

You would need to contact each of them to see if any of them could undertake your development work.
