Just upgraded to EE4 and payment processing with PayPal Pro takes around 3 minutes. Although it appears that the payment has been process long before and the emails go out before the page show successful completion
I ran a test transaction through and it took about 20 seconds; however, no emails were sent to the user. Payment was processed (checked with cc company) and the registration was completed in Event Espresso and shows properly in overview. What can be done to enable emails?
20 seconds is normal to see with PayPal Pro. You can use a transactional email service like Mandrill for sending the emails. It’s much faster than a typical built in mailserver. We have a guide that you can follow to set up a transaction email service in our documentation.
