We just had a registration come in for a class that we had removed from the calendar. Apparently the person had started to register in January but never paid and had received a pending payment email. In the meantime we removed that class from the schedule by setting it to draft. The person must have just clicked the link in that old email to complete a payment and their payment went through. If I had deleted the event instead of just setting it to draft, would that have prevented this from happening?
Hmm, this is a little more complex than it sounds.
To answer your question, yes, deleting the event would have prevented this, but doing so would require you to delete the registrations assigned to it.
I’ll open a ticket to discuss this further, currently to prevent registrations like this from happening again if you set an event to be draft to remove it from view, set the datetime/ticket limits to match the sold value so the event also becomes sold out. Thats should prevent registrations such as the above from finalizing.
