Payment pending should automatically change order status to “confirmed”

We sell tickets for courses with a maximum number of seats of 12 – wich means a maximum of 12 tickets per course. Now we have to change payment methods to prepayment/ bank transfer, but we need to automatically reduce that number of available seats/ places even if it says “payment pending”. Can anyone provide a solution to this? I´m able to code. Please, just tell me where and what to change.

Hello,

If you set the status to payment pending, user need to pay and recorded first in EE before it reduce the number of available space.

if you want to reduce the number of available for every registration, set the status to approve.

Go to your EE dashboard -> Event -> Default Registration Status

Thanks for your answere but this is not what I was asking for.
We cannot set it to approved because we have to track the payment as it is pending but at the same time have to reduce the available amount of tickets.
Any other ideas?

Hi there,

The only way to do what you are looking for is to set the Default Registration Status (DRS for short) to be Approved. You can’t have ‘Pending Payment’ registration also applying to your sold values.

You can consider ‘Approved’ Registrations as ‘sold’ registrations, so with that in mind:

We cannot set it to approved because we have to track the payment as it is pending but at the same time have to reduce the available amount of tickets.

So you want the tickets to apply to your sold values…. without applying to your sold values (being set to Approved)?

You can’t have both here, but you can set the DRS to be Approved so that all registrations apply to the sold values and then use the transaction status to see if a payment has been manually applied which allow you to ‘track’ payments applied.
