Payment not showing correct. Shows as incomplete when payment can be found

Hello, in the past 6 months I have noticed that there have been times where a customer shows incomplete when in fact they paid. I found 2 such incidents for today’s training event, and 3 last Saturday. This has caused a good deal of issues with the customers who show up for class and dont have a completion certificate because it shows they didn’t pay, when in fact they did. I cannot locate any reason why this is happening. It is causing more work to manually check incomplete registrations (non payment) by logging into authorize.net or paypal. Please let me know how to fix this.

Hi there,

You mentioned both Auth.net and PayPal, which EE Payment methods are you using for those?

For example, PayPal Standard, PayPal Express, Auth.net SIM?

Did the EE Transaction show them as complete, but there registration remained Pending Payment? Or did the Transaction show as Incomplete?

I spoke with authorize.net and have narrowed it down to a time out problem only with authorized.net and not pay pal. It says the script timed out while trying to post transaction results to it.

It then shows it approved at authorized.net but incomplete at event expresso

Ok, so if you are getting that error, you’re using Auth.net SIM.

So is it happening with every Auth.net transaction or some?

I tried to view the site linked to your license but I get blocked by Sitelock – https://monosnap.com/file/1wTKr0a7zID2j4QAxRVPtBSM8JKSBX

If it’s happening for every Auth.net SIM payment the same could be happening to Auth.net servers.

Are you using EE3 or EE4?
