Payment not going through Automatically

When my customers go to pay through the paypal link and complete their payment, it always has the red exclamation mark and I have to go in and manually update their payment status. Why is this not going through automatically after they pay? I want to buy this software, but I can’t have this issue. Please help me with a fix.
