I need guidance on how to activate the payment form.
I have an event, that I click myself into the registration page.
But since most events are payed, I need this form to be both registration and payment form.
All I get is the registration. I set up paypal as gateway and cheque/money order. It never redirects to the payment form page.
What am I doing wrong?

Hello Bjørn,

I had a quick look at your site and it seems to me that the payment gateway isnt set up correctly.

The basic process is: User clicks register to event -> Adds their details -> Confirms everything -> Gets the payment page where they can select the payment type -> goes to appropriate gateway.

IF you would like I can have a quick look at your settings in WordPress.

If so, please send admin level login details via https://eventespresso.com/contact/

Choose the “I am sending login info as requested” option and fill out the form

Hi Bjørn,

OK I had a look and as far as I can see it is set up correctly. Therefore the only thing I can conclude is that you have modified the template structure enough that something has gone wrong.

I would advise you to temporarily remove the files from uploads/espresso and see if that fixes the issue, if so then you know it was a customisation.

Please also note that Event Espresso does not support multisite installations. I can’t see that being an issue but you never know.

If it isn’t the templates causing the problem then please come back to me/us and we can relook at it.

Hello Bjørn,

I took a quick look at the registration form and I noted that there are fields there that were added to collect credit card info. This information should not be collected on a registration form. It is not secure.

The other aspect of this was the email field has been repurposed as a CCV field. The way the registration form works is the email field must have an email address entered into it, or it will not validate and let you move on to the next step of the registration process. I entered an email address into that field and made it to the page where the PayPal button displays, so that’s working as expected. With the PayPal gateway option, it will take the registrant to PayPal.com where they can securely enter their credit card information.

So you can resolve this issue by removing the credit card fields from the registration form and changing the CCV field label back to email.
