Hi Brian,

I am very happy with EE. I just want to know when EE will have the feature to choose a different payment option per event.

With regards to payment methods per event, we already have that available with an add-on here:

Like when one creates the event, have a drop down of what payment option to enable, or even have multiple different options per type?

Whilst the above add-on doesn’t have a dropdown, it does allow you to select specific payment methods on specific events but only 1 of each type can be selected. For example, you can have 3 (or more) ‘instances’ of a Stripe payment method but on the event itself, you can only select one of those to be used as that events Stripe payment method.

Please do not tell me to get an add-on… it should not need to work that way.

As it stands, this is not something we are going to include in Event Espresso core, it’s not a feature used by all users and we keep the core add-on as lean as we can to provide the ‘core’ functions of EE and then extend on those functions with add-ons.

Including every possible feature we can into the core product, bloats the core plugin and causes more confusion for users that don’t want/need those functions. It also means pricing for the core product does not need to take into account all of the add-ons.

In short, if you need the ability to select specific payment methods per event, you’ll need the above add-on.
